When registering your payments account with Hale, you’ll be asked to provide additional information regarding your business before your account is verified and transfers can be paid out to your preferred bank account. We take these steps in order to comply with local ‘Know Your Customer’ regulations, which are put in place to reduce risk and prevent illegal activity.
This information most often includes:
- Business type – individual or business/companyFull name of the individual or company representative
- Date of birth of the individual or company representative
- Address of the individual or business
Sometimes, a financial institution or payment processing partner may ask for additional verification information. In this case, you’ll see a notification in your Payments Verification settings page – along with an opportunity to provide the requested info. The Hale team may also reach out to you to help with this process if need be.
